NUDES UNDER THE SUN

Take a moment and imagine a typical guys reaction to the Title of this post 😂Anyway back to business, 2016 has been an excting year for fashion! Dominated by the neutrals concept. The “nude” trend which also is branch of the neutrals concept is something fresh, not like many other trends that have made a come back. Which explains the resurgence of this trend not forgetting the very beautiful fact that it celebrates the different skin tones. I am sure, it has taught many of us to love the color of our skins even more.

Brown as a color has been a major design element since the inception of the nude notion. I have have always loved brown as a color, mostly because of its rich beautiful hues. It is exciting to see the various hues of brown being celebrated. It took me a while to get an outfit that very close to my skin tone. I landed on a skirt and then the camisole a few weeks later( You cannot imagine how excited I was). It was no doubt that I was going to go monochrome on this one. I added a golden metallic belt to add poise to the outfit and a chocker to make it fun. Chocolate / mahogany is my nude, what’s yours?

MELLOW OUT

DSC_0406

If I heard someone talk about sweaters and boots I would most likely eavesdrop because that is comfort and style talk.  It is like those buy one get one promos. These two items manage to look stylish every time. If I knew earlier in life that tucking in sweaters would look this stylish I would have done it with my school uniform.

This over sized sweater is one of my comfort clothes, it can work well on my couch on a lazy Sunday, a night out with shorts and on a random evening. I like it’s rich (ruby woo) color. Army green is another rich and diverse color. It goes well with almost every color. I finished off the look with brown boots which are my favorite right now (because they look like those sock boots I am dreaming about)  and a chunky blue bag.I salute the inventor of high waist jeans.

Tips;

  • When tucking in choose an over sized sweater.
  • Avoid tucking in neatly.

Have a beautiful September, hope you caught a glimpse of the eclipse.

Full Size Dress

DSC_0386

Welcome back from the weekend, I am hoping you had enough rest. So  this full size dress got my attention while I was shopping downtown. There was something about the print that I could not resist. It has hung in my closet for a while waiting on motivation to make it work which I got after two months. First, I combined the dress with only a belt but something was missing. I layered a white shirt under the dress and viola everything fell in place. I had my perfect ensemble. Rich and playful just like it. 🙂  A full size dress can be styled in different ways however, with just a belt and boots for a laid back look, a hut and sandals with chunky jewelry for a weekend look.                                                                           Let’s go out and catch our dreams, have a fruitful week.

MultiPle PrInT Blouse

If any of my friends saw this outfit on a mannequin, they would point (Yes they do) and say, “that’s so Rebecca”.  I would pick items like these anytime, anywhere, any day.  I like rich and fun clothing. May be because those are some of my life goals ( Being rich and having fun in everything I do) This multiple patterned blouse gives me both elements. Shorts, hats and chockers are some of my favourite items for sure. Small bags have my heart, this maroon one being the smallest in my closet. I particularly like how the different items are in sync.

I hope you are having a lovely evening . Let the weekend Begin! 💃

LittLe white DreSS

You know how every girl must have a little black dress? The same goes for a little white dress. However, I would assign them both different parts of the day. The black for the night and more serious ocassions and the white for the day. Also for fun activities. My little white dress is one of favourite weekend outfits because of freedom it exudes. The patterns on it are timeless which was one of the reasons I purchased it. It is also very comfortable and is of just appropriate length. I combined it with a blue denim jacket which is also one of my timeless pieces and a brown bag. I find comfort in smaller bags but this brown one got me at first sight because of it’s rectangular shape. There is something masculine about it and such pieces have my heart. I finished the look with brown sandals to match the bag. ☺

What do you like to wear over the weekend? Kindly drop me a comment I will be keen to respond. If you like the post, show it by liking.

Have a beautiful Sunday, let’s continue to pray for Syria.

ShoRTs ❤

I have expressed my love for shorts a few too many times here. My style has evolved but my shorts have stayed. These specific white ones I have had for over a year. They are so easy to love because of there neutral color and texture. I love functional clothes, they always have my back by pulling off different looks. I had a not so official thing to attend over the weekend and I wanted my legs out. So I styled the shorts with a white camisole and a blue blazer to give it a pop of color. White is a trend that I hope to carry on till the end of time.

BLUEs & NUDEs

This Monday unlike many mondays was not a difficult one for me to get an outfit. Thanks to a weekend indoors. I got time off work that enabled me to look through my closet.
I landed on this white turtle neck top which I have not worn in a long time. Turtle necks are timeless pieces because of thier diversity. They can be worn to work and so can they pull off casual chic look. And the same goes for the cropped pants. I added a checkered blazer to make the outfit fun which I matched with nude heels. Small purses have my heart now,I loved how this baby blue purse blended with the entire outfit.
