I still can’t believe 2017 is just 40 days away! Time did not fly this much when I was younger, probably because I did not have so much to do. All the same, I am so greatful to be alive 🙂
When shopping I look out for versatility in clothing among other aspects. This jumpsuit checked that box. It can be worn in many ways according to how it is styled, to a diner with heels, an out door event, an easy Sunday… I love to wear it as a chill outfit like this specifi day that I wore it to a walk.
I styled it with grey canvas lace up sneakers and a denim hoodie for a minimal look . I hope you enjoy it. Remember to take walks whenever you can, it’s good for both your physical and mental wellbeing.
Greetings, I hope you are having a great day :). So I have always liked Jelly shoes but never got a pair I resonated with until these black ones happened. I was super excited and thankfully for the cloudy weather I have been able to wear them a few times. With such happy feet I had to go monochrome on the outfit.
Tulle skirts and jelly shoes are some of the items we can share with children in fashion. I imagine if I were a mom, I would play dress up with my daughter with these two items. So it was easy for the items to rhyme, they made such chemistry with the mid calf socks.
I added a choker and a trilby hat both black to add a slight edge and to maintain the monochrome theme. That’s how I styled my jelly shoes, let me know your thoughts in the comments.
I am very pumped for this Monday because I have been resting a lot (Doctor’s advise). I am well now and energized for the new week 🙂
I love to be smart on Mondays, I live for those “you look beautiful this morning Rebecca” on to make my recovery from the weekend easier. This Vintage round skirt spoke to me at first sight. I absolutely was crazy about the rich fabric, the hemline to die for and the floral print. It was like my holy trinity.
It was one of those pieces that are a no brainier styling because it in it’s self is the statement and therefore only requires a supplement.
I am very simple on accessories I do not buy many. I have been wearing this watch and these BusFra Bracelets for a while now. Time to make a change I know. This choker from The Kona can be worn two sides, beneath is a beautiful African print. It has been hard to change a nail color ever since I tried white. It just fits with everything in a simple but sophisticated way. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, I will make sure to reply each of them.
I wish you a pleasant and productive week. I love you for reading.
Welcome back from the weekend, my prayer is made some happy memories to take you through the week. Is October moving very fast or what? We cannot ignore the fact that Kampala has been way too heated lately. It has caused me to take risks like not carry a sweater with me as I leave home which usually is very unusual that my friends nick named me (Ka sweater.)
I find comfort in light and soft fabrics especially on hot days just like this Ombre Caroline Morgan dress. I love Caroline Morgan designs because comfort is a priority to them , this is reflected in their choice of fabric and style. Most of their clothing also have a knit touch to die for like the hem of my dress. Details like finishing, type of straps matter a lot to me and this dress checked all the boxes. 🙂
Ombre art took over 2016 by a storm from hair, to nails, lips and clothing too. I hadn’t found anything ombre I fancied so much like this dress. I matched it with a maroon purse that just settles with the pink and white color scheme. I hope you like it 🙂 and have a pleasant week ahead.
I had an exciting weekend. My girls and I stepped out of town to celebrate Sheilah’s birthday by Lake Victoria. I had so much fun that I forgot to capture some of the cutest moments (Shy Face) but at least I managed to capture my outfit of the day.
This short sleeve dress is something I was not so sure about purchasing. I had major doubts about it flattering my body build, yet I loved the freedom it comes with. We all know how that ended, it is on the blog 🙂 The not so obvious high low hemmed theme is something I like. It makes me feel more secure especially in windy weather because my behind (which I do not have much control over) is well covered.
The first thought to match it with long strap sandals but that would be so obvious. I wanted to be free too. I wound up settling for a different kind of strap sandals, the double strap. I achieved the freedom feel I wanted to experience the entire day. Oh and by the way, freedom is my biggest inspo. What’s yours?
Pastel colors are life. There softness bring a breath of fresh air to an outfit just like flowers do, no wonder they’re trending this year! Putting this outfit together was no brainer mainly because I had a bag of the same color shade as the shorts. This gave me the freedom to wear whatever shade of shoes I pleased because the bag had a friend (Ha Ha).Pastel colors have not been very easy for me to match in the past because they seem to rebel black all the time, I was pleased when I got this one together with not much effort.
I am trying change my entire closet to a minimalist one but boy oh boy, my love for prints keeps letting me down. But who would resist this top? 🙂 I have won these red pumps consecutively for about two weeks now, they’re super comf and they look great in my feet. This is the kind of outfit you are likely to find me wearing on a Saturday.
As I grow older I find more pleasure in cafes than bars that were my absolute joy while I was younger. *Thinks* This sounds like a statement my forty year old self would say, have I slowed down that much? Sigh..
I was drawn to L’auteur because of the artistry. The way wood is creatively used to make the place beautiful. I suggested it for a meeting with a friend who is like me in many ways. We were both impressed at the entrance by the appearance of the space. We rushed to the big couch for a proper chill. We ordered for tea (which is kept warm by a candle) that we sipped amidst lots of laughter before we headed over to the book section which did not have only books but magazines too (Heaven). I got soaked in a Cosmo mag and before we knew it we were hungry. I ordered a Caesar salad and Bus ordered a club sandwich with wedges. The bits and pieces of the salad were cut and severed in right proportions which is key to a well made salad. Bus enjoyed his sandwich which I would have had a portion of if not for my intolerance to gluten. I had some of his wedges that were absolutely delish. I almost forgot to mention that the music selection is en pointé.
We wound up spending over 6 hours at this cozy cafe. L’auteur is not just a cafe, it is an experience.
